Saw on MF someone got 10% cb groceries on the flex. A metric shit ton of reloading the page in incognito mode through various offers and BAM 10% grocery 15m zero apr. Instant approval. Stats 4/24 Ex f8 761 Income:108k Chase member for 3y6m Total credit 165k 179k Called Chase to confirm the 10% offer since it t wasn’t listed on the approval rep confirmed it was valid. since I was talking to a live person figured I’d shoot my shot and ask about a higher limit (was pre-approved in app for 17k) was given a polite no, not too fussed.

I refreshed that page about a 100 times trying to get and gas or 200/500 and 10% grocery before I gave up. The other offers I saw were 0/500 100/500 150/500 plus 5% grocery and 200/500 no grocery

So here is a crazy one for you…

Noticed I had a typo in my name when I submitted the app on my phone… as I am sure you have all noticed I am terrible typer.

A wave vs wage kinda typo. They ran my credit anyway and approved the card and sent it out with the wrong name. Reviewing the app last night I noticed it was wrong…

Called Chase just now on my lunch break to correct the name and they are going to send me “identity verification forms” in 7-10 days. When asked if I could do them digitally was told no, when asked if they could rush the documents because I would like to get this corrected she instead rushed my credit card.

Now I have to ask how could a computer system not notice the name of the person applying was not the same as the credit profile they pulled, why would they talk to someone not listed on the credit account, why would they rush a card with the wrong name to effectively the wrong person. They effectively rushed shipped an active credit card to a fictitious person instead of canceling and waiting for identity verification and to make matters worse I even called yesterday and asked them to verify the particulars of the account and a live human looked at the wrong name and gave account information out to an individual claiming to be someone else.

I just cannot get around the fact I called and told them the card has the wrong name and they are not only didn’t cancel it but are willing to rush ship it. If I was an even slightly dishonest person this would be a slam dunk for running up a 14k bill and claiming identity theft and walking away from it. Absolutely insane.

Frankly, I am impressed that you can deal with all the "stuff" ... afraid I would "get fired for what I think" ... Truth, I spent more than 40 years split between DOD, State, County and Municipal Appointed/Elected officials plus consulting and I became every bit the politician (I was appointed usually senior leadership). While I felt I was helping, I often wondered about the elected?! Some I felt were just plain dumb others shrewd for their agendas. What I did learn to do was use my military skills/training on the elected. Sometimes would snag them up and let it catch them in the public. My technics worked and at election time some were gone. It became a hunt for me and the thrill of the kill It became my "bottom feeding" focus. Not my original goal but as time went on it turned into my thrill Today, I have been asked to run for elected office (start January 2025) ... having trouble holding myself back as the military thrill of the kill slips in. However, I am trying to decide how I would approach the election and how many geographic area subgroups do I know about that could try to take me out (back room)?

I don't know why I never got a notification for this, but honestly sometimes I don't know how I shut the fuck up most of the time myself... Honestly if during covid I didn't go basically full WFH I am not certain I wouldn't have been fired... When I had co-workers cry because Trump was elected I wished I could have bottled it up. I mean a grown ass person in their 50's crying because they didn't like who was elected was just comedy gold for me. All 4 years they refused to put his picture up. 2 years in I took down Obama's picture myself. Pretty sure the center directors secretary had a stroke. But seriously I go in the office 1 day a week and like 2 people are there... The rest of the time I am at home, and after nearly half decade I am convinced man was not meant to wear pants 5 days a week. Most days unless SHTF I am sitting in my living room moving my mouse and waiting for someone to need a password reset, pants optional.

So a month later and still not fixed, because of the rush shipping my card number changed the form they sent me had the wrong account number, went in a branch had them fax the form and my ID internally and.... Was told my request for name change was denied... Resubmitted with state ID, Federal ID, SS card, Birth Certificate waiting to see what they say next. Funny thing is They looked at my ID, they had to have seen the name on my checking account, and the back records of my account has my name correct. You would think having a branch manager at a bank call in and then fax documents for you they would IDK fix it?

I know exactly how that guy ended up dead... When the state reported the wife's death to the SSA national list they referenced, a clerk accidentally entered the surviving spouse's name instead of the wife, then the state and the IRS cross referencing the federal registers list updated their list, without checking their own records. That is why no one can explain how it happened they did it, but the fed never admits fault. You can tell they know exactly what happened because they are confident his info wasn't stolen, and offered free credit monitoring, of course none of this included expeditated fixing. If the SSA loves to do one thing it is slow walk paperwork on paying out money to someone entitled to it, which is why it took 2 years to fix. All those federal records have a data entry date, and should have a submitted by entry as well, I can't imagine the state doesn't do the same.
