This is a card where, among the categories, I see things I or my wife like to buy or do (bookstores, thrift stores, florists, live entertainment, streaming), but I doubt the bits of spend on those disparate things would come together to make the CB worth a new account. (Esp since my wife doesn't really do category cards.)

Yeah, most of the cats wouldn't really call for high spend but some could. A $3500 mountain bike? I just thought it was pretty neat that it covers so many cats that aren't your cliche 5% cats. And uncapped!

I don't ride anymore (nor was I highly skilled when I did ), but I have a number of friends who ride hard and often. For those people it would probably take $5k to get one to even blink when it comes to spending on a bike. It's just built into their budgets as no matter how tight or flush with money they are. My locale at one time was definitely one of those places where it was common to see the bike on someone's car be worth more than the car.
