Savor page hidden from card list but still active

Capital One has hidden the Savor page from view (it can no longer be navigated to when looking at cards on their site), however if you link directly to it, the page is still active and accepts applications. I'm curious as to people's thoughts on whether this is going to be phased out, refreshed, etc. I've only had mine for 3 months, and don't have a good read of the tea leaves as of yet. I just don't want this card to ever end up anything like the coupon book otherwise known as Amex Gold. I know Savor isn't a great value for many people, but for those of us that it does make sense, I hope there are no significant changes

It's unlikely they'll kill it for existing customers. Capital One has a history of grandfathering people. Like there are still people who have the Savor with no AF.

Guilty as charged!

I have yet to see anyone demonstrate that they spend more than $9,500/yr on dining/streaming/entertainment. I'll take the SavorOne any day, please.

I could see people that eat out a ton and/or drop a lot on event tickets (like season tickets) getting there. I definitely wouldn't have the card though if the AF weren't waived annually.

I'm not surprised. The card didn't make a lot of sense for many people when the SavorOne was so good. Good on Cap for not axing the SavorOne instead though.

Yeah I'm not all that surprised either. For me the card nets me a little more than SavorOne, but I know for most it doesn't.

I saw a UTube vid about this recently, but I can't find it at the moment. It said Savor was going away for new applicants but (speculated?) that existing users would be able to keep it. Explained that Savor was originally 3% but went to 4% to compete with the Uber card. Now that the Uber card is no more, and the SavorOne is pretty much what the Savor was to begin with, they don't need it any more.

I've looked at the Altitude Go several times, looking for something to PC my Shopper Cash Rewards to when the annual fee kicks in, and just can't convince myself that I need it. When I'm not getting 5% or 5x from Disco or Chase on dining, I have the Citi Custom Cash. About one quarter per year, perhaps two, when neither Disco or Chase have gas or dining, the Custom Cash is my gas stations card. In that case I use US Bank Cash+ for 5% fast food (which is most of my dining ) and the CSP for 3.1x on other dining, or possibly the SavorOne for 3%. I don't think Altitude Go would gain me much.

SavorOne is a even little better than Savor originally was. The history on Savor and Savor one are: -Premier Dining Rewards: 3% dining/entertainment, 2% grocery, 1% everything else -2017 becomes Savor - same rewards adds contactless. -Aug 2018 Savor goes to 4% dining/entertainment, 2% grocery, 1% everything else $95AF, waived for first yr. OG Savor holders are upgraded and grandfathered in at no AF. SavorOne introduced at this time as 3% dining/entertainment. 2% grocery, 1% everything else, no AF -May2021 Savor adds 4% streaming, SavorOne adds 3% streaming, both Savor and SavorOne increase grocery to 3%. Nov 2022 - both Savor and SavorOne add 10% Uber/Uber eats benefit and monthly statement credit for Uber One till 11/14/24. July 16th 2024 - Savor discontinued for new applications

Because I combine my Savor rewards with my VX it doesn't make as much sense for me, but Altitude Go is a very good card, especially if you've got other cards non-dining categories. I would also probably have trouble getting anything more than a $500 SL from USB if approved at all. I can't see them even coming close to matching the 20k Cap One gave me on Savor when I've got 3yrs+ till my BK is off my report.
