This became a viral video after being posted on TikTok. They never credited the original source: WMAR-2 News, Baltimore's news station since 1947. (Maryland, USA) On most sites where this was posted, people would ridicule the responses given by the various customers who were interviewed for the broadcast. I think they deserve a pass - especially the guy who said he couldn't imagine it working at BK on a day-to-day basis. lol Customer 1: "I think it's pretty bad if you have to use a credit card, when you go to a fast food restaurant, for something as little as 3 dollars and 10 cents [$6.74 in June 2024 dollars*] ." video/cash_or_credit-burger_king-1993-web_encode.mp4 Customer 2: "If I use my GM card and I get a 5% rebate, if I eat here long enough, I'll be able to buy a pickup truck." Customer 3: "I just hope it doesn't slow things down at the cash, cash and carry, that people are going to be having to call New York and get, get the confirmation or you know, whatever it is, 'cuz when I want a Whopper, I want it now." Customer 4: "Just another way to spend money. I'm sure it'll work for people on vacation when they don't have to do something, but I can't imagine it working on a day-to-day basis here." Jamie Costello, WMAR-2 News, Baltimore, Maryland: "So far the smallest credit has been for 2 dollars and 50 cents [$5.44 in June 2024 dollars*] . The largest, just over 10 [About $22.00 in June 2024 dollars*] ." *Dollar comparisons provided by the Consumer Price Index Inflation Calculator at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics , an official website of the United States government.

Who cares? If a person wants to use a card. In the grocery store using tap & pay, I go through faster than the cash payer. Watched this for some time now. As to checks that is a whole 'nother story! Only the old fogies with the stogies!!!
