5/24 is the policy that Chase would deny you a card if you had opened up 5 or more accounts in the preceding 24 months. However, since the pandemic, it seems Chase has also applied this policy to CLIs. We shall see if it continues, but this is just a general post to advise people of the normal policy.

I can’t recall if I’ve seen a DP about this, but does a CLOC count towards 5/24? It’s reported as a Revolver, but as a Line of Credit and not credit card on my report.

Also I could have sworn I saw a DP about bypassing 5/24 if you’ve never had a chase card, but I cannot find any reference to this.

I’m considering applying for the CSP, and I wanted to be sure of my 5/24 status.

I have heard some say that Chase included it in a manual review but not when doing an automated approval. I have heard others say it wasn't counted at all. It kind of sounds like it's one of those things that they may take into account if you're otherwise borderline for approval.

Thanks for the info. I’m at 4 bank cards and 1 LOC, but one of those bank cards (Paceline) I opened back in March has not reported. I was just wondering how quickly I might have to move on the CSP in branch offer before that Paceline card maybe reports. I’ll report back if there’s any interesting DPs.

As an update, I was approved this morning for the CSP 80k + waived first year AF in branch. $18,000 SL. I don't have any 5/24 DPs since I was at 4/24 including the CLOC from Affinity.
